Learn new skills to gain access to the expanding green jobs market!
We are offering young people across Oxfordshire who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) the fantastic opportunity to learn new horticultural skills thanks to funding received from the ESF Community Grants Oxfordshire programme.
During April, there will be six one-day taster sessions held in Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Didcot, Oxford and Wantage. Attendees will learn about basic edible horticulture before being offered the opportunity to go on to attend one of three accredited courses in either Advanced Edible Horticulture, Agroecology or Ecobuilding.
Each participant who completes one of the accredited courses will receive a certificate and we’re offering one-to-one mentoring along the way which includes signposting to volunteering opportunities afterwards so you can develop and build on your work experience and new skills.
Sounds great, how do I find out more?
