Incredible Edible Oxford creates growing spaces using raised beds placed prominently around the city to raise the profile of growing food and the importance of local food production.

Green spaces across Oxfordshire have been transformed to make them more attractive and productive for local communities and we continue to work with Oxford City Council on our flagship project at Florence Park cultivating edible beds that provide free healthy food for volunteers and residents.

Why Oxford?

Inspired by the fantastic work of Incredible Edible Todmorden, Rachel Hammond wanted to set up a similar project around Oxford and in 2013 Incredible Edible Oxford (IEO) was harvested.

I love it – how can I get involved?

We deliver education and training workshops to empower communities to not only grow their own food but to create sustainable livelihoods. Our courses are popular with residents covering topics from garden design, ecosystems and composting to wildlife gardening, fruit tree grafting and building cold frames. Our tutors are experts in their fields and you’ll gain invaluable skills that you can use to transform your space at home, in your community or to apply for jobs in the green market.

Do I qualify for one of your free courses?

We always offer at least 2 free spaces for each course we run, no justification needed, but they are always snapped up quickly so be sure to be quick.
